Ive been in my fair share of luxury lodgings all over the world, and I find myself delighted and inspired by the decor, maybe because so much of it is custom-crafted for that particular hotel. The last time Gabe and I were in Texas, our suite included bedside lamps in an unexpected shade of orange. I was intrigued!
Knowing that lamps are a savvy way of adding whatever a room lacks–sparkle, pattern, texture–I was determined to re-create it. Our Austin Table Lamp is made of terracotta with a vibrant orange glaze; the metal hardware has a satin black finish for a dose of drama. A flax-colored linen shade tops it off.
